That’s terrible, it honestly doesn’t look like it would be that much work to correct and remove; however, maybe they know more then I do. It was also brought to my attention that Ms Diggs apparently wasn’t called. No markers for gas lines were preset while the workers were digging away...I hate to leave a bad review, but come on...you don’t leave a construction job unfinished.
Made an appointment for them to come out and give a quote, had to leave work early so I'd be there on time. They didn't show. No call, no nothing. I called and left a message to find out what happened and almost a week later still no call back from them. If this is how they do business I'll take mine elsewhere. You should too. Not even worth the one star.
It’s unfortunate to come home to an unfinished job by Cassino at my parents house. They were hired to do the driveway, waterproof the basement walls, and a new porch cap. Most work was completed EXCEPT the porch cap. There’s wood that was put under the porch cap as a temporary fix. (Needed as it dried). The young man (one of the younger owners) said it would be removed. When my father called because the wood started to separate and slope downward, they again promised to come remove it. Never did. My father drove to the office because mold is growing and the hanging wood now presents as a hazard. (A home inspector came out and confirmed it should’ve been removed when the job was finished.) He spoke to the owner (Larry, I believe) and he kept changing the subject. And then told my dad, they’re not going to do anything about it.
After almost $40k worth of remodeling Larry has completely turned his back on us when we called with a problem. Our walk in shower is falling apart. Tiles are loose on the wall, grout coming out. Shower floor is full if white stuff coming through the grout. Sometimes water drops drip in basement. Do not use this contractor..he has lost his integrity.
Cassino Construction is one of the BEST home improvement contractors in the State of Michigan, hands down! My family has done business with this company for two separate projects in the past and we have never been disappointed with the quality of their work, which has always been exceptional.
Mr. D’Aguanno and his crew did a phenomenal job on our porch which immediately drew positive comments from our family members and surrounding neighbors. Larry and his crew paid great attention to detail from start to finish while making sure that the construction of the porch was the best that it could be. The cement work and craftsmanship of the porch is beautiful as well!
Furthermore, his sons Larry Jr. and Anthony, along with the rest of the crew were also a pleasure as well and went above and beyond our expectations. Larry even pulled all four of our large older shrubs out for FREE and had the entire project done in a timely manner. He also put in fill dirt after pulling the shrubs out as well which we very much appreciated and offered landscaping suggestions for the following year.
In summary, I would HIGHLY recommend Cassino Construction to anyone in need of a good, honest, dependable and professional home improvement contractor. They will not disappoint! A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Larry and his crew for a job well done and for all of their hard work as well!
For that reasoning, we decided to contact them again for a third project, which was for the construction of a new front porch with a roof extension. I would also like to add that the company’s President, Larry D’Aguanno, Sr. treated us like family during the entire course of this project. He was very informative, friendly, and professional. He was also low pressure and held a fair price too. Larry is a man of great integrity and stands by his word as well.
